Barcelona has expressed their interest in renewing Sergi Roberto and Oscar Mingueza which was communicated to the players according to EsportsCope.
Sergi Roberto has been a very important team player for the Catalan club where he is most known for his 6-1 goal against PSG back in 2017 which sent his team through to the quarter finals after losing the away game 0-4. Laporta obviously sees him a part of the future and the club has expressed to extend his current country, which expires in 2022, with one more year.
Oscar Mingueza is the fairy tale story of a young boy who started playing for FC Barcelona as a little kid and this past weekend, not only played his first El Clásico in Madrid, but also scored his first goal. The club is very satisfied with his development and hopes that he can be a real replacement for Gerard Piqué in the future.
During the next couple of weeks there will surely be more meetings between the club and the players’ representatives to negotiate the extensions.
Barcelona is at the moment in third place on point after rival Real Madrid in second place and two points after Atlético de Madrid, the current league leaders.
